An exploration of public space, Park Tower creates a point of interaction for a variety of users in often transitory or empty public spaces in San Francisco's Financial District. Working with/in daily rhythms, the program and connections ebb and flow, day to night, weekday to weekend, through a variety of modular interventions and lighting engagements. Each changing and adapting, but never fully disappearing.

A collection of modular carts serve as activators. The units are configurable in an endless series of possibilities, creating opportunities for the user to move and adapt the space to current needs. Seating, storage, retail, play, shelter, and service all exist over time.

MODULES
Artificial light is one of societies indispensable necessities, nevertheless it is considered boring, a standardized part of daily life. By manipulating light, we see a chance to create different social spaces, act as a signal in the neighborhood, and generate singular experiences. With Park Tower, multiple phenomenon are replicated, creating unique interactions with both individuals and modules. Through the interplay of colored glass, mirrored surfaces, and reflective materiality, the pieces change in character as the light shifts, creating a compelling blend of lighting experiences.
